Media wins "Communicator" Award

BlueStar
Media, a Needham-based media and event company, is pleased to announce
that it is the recipient of a 2003 "Communicator Award of Distinction"
for "Firefighter Safety in the Wildland/Urban Interface."
Produced for the National Fire Protection Association, "Firefighter
Safety..." is a 20-minute video designed to educate wildland and
rural firefighters about safety. Avoiding the typical "do's and don'ts"
style of traditional training films, BlueStar focuses on real-life stories
of firefighters who have been injured or threatened by fire in the line
of duty. This reality-based approach serves as a chilling reminder of
the dangers of firefighting and drives home the safety lessons that all
firefighters must learn in order to survive.
The Communicator Awards is an international program that honors excellence
in communications, giving producers and their clients the recognition
that their work is outstanding and highly regarded by their peers.
